1. About Qeyé

Qeyé is:

• A digital technology platform enabling individuals, companies, and institutions to plant, register, and monitor trees.
• A tree planting and environmental services provider operating directly and through verified partners.
• A provider of environmental tracking, reporting, and carbon estimation tools.
• Qeyé operates in Ethiopia and may operate in other jurisdictions through affiliates, subsidiaries, or local partnerships.

3. Services Provided

Qeyé may provide the following services:

• Urban and rural tree planting
• Reforestation and agroforestry programs
• Tree maintenance and monitoring
• Tree registration and digital geotag tracking
• Carbon estimation and environmental impact reporting
• Corporate ESG-aligned environmental programs
• Tree gifting services
• Environmental education and community initiatives
• Important Disclaimer on Environmental Outcomes: Tree growth, carbon sequestration, and environmental impact depend on ecological, climatic, and external variables.
• While Qeyé aims to maintain high survival rates through professional planning and care, we do not guarantee exact growth timelines, specific carbon sequestration volumes, permanent survival of every planted tree, or regulatory acceptance of carbon offsets in all jurisdictions.
• All carbon data provided through the Platform is based on scientific estimation methodologies.

5. Payments & Pricing

Certain services require payment.

• Pricing will be displayed in applicable currencies.
• Payment must be completed before service confirmation.
• Taxes, transaction fees, and bank charges may apply.
• Qeyé reserves the right to modify pricing at any time.
• Refunds: Refund requests may be reviewed before planting occurs.
• Once planting is completed, refunds are generally not available except under exceptional circumstances at Qeyé's discretion.

7. User Accounts

Certain features require account creation. You agree to:

• Maintain confidentiality of login credentials.
• Provide accurate registration information.
• Notify Qeyé of unauthorized access.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

All Platform content - including software, logos, trademarks, reports, data models, designs, dashboards, and documentation - is owned by or licensed to Qeyé and protected by intellectual property laws.

Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

11. Third-Party Partners

Qeyé may operate through:

• Local nurseries
• Community planting groups
• NGOs
• Municipal authorities
• International collaborators
• We are not responsible for independent actions of third parties outside our contractual control.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Qeyé shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, regulatory penalties, or business interruption.
• Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the relevant service.

15. International Use

Users accessing Qeyé outside Ethiopia are responsible for compliance with local laws.

Qeyé does not guarantee that services or carbon documentation meet all regulatory requirements in every jurisdiction.

17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
• Disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
• International agreements may include separate jurisdiction clauses.
